June 6 TFC led training and coach Sessions

Please note we are hosting a training session and coaches clinic for a limited number of coaches and kids age 10-13 at:

McHugh Field #1 6-7:30 pm Wed June 6; 

ECSA office for the coaches clinic.

If you're interested in attending, please let me know.  

  1. 30 spots for local players ages 10-13 will be coached by John Mondino, with assistance from our Windsor TFC teams.   Slots for players re available on Eventbrite (link below).
  2. 20 spots will be available for the coaches clinic to be delivered by Anthony Capotosto. Send me a note if you want to attend the coaches session.

Anthony Capotosto  will cover the TFC Principles of Play Model; (U16 TORONTO FC ACADEMY HEAD COACH AND POD 3 TECHNICAL ADMINISTRATOR)

Anthony Capotosto enters his first season as the U-16 team head coach and seventh season with the Toronto FC Academy.  Capotosto previously worked as head coach for the U-15 Toronto FC Academy team, and also served as an assistant coach within the Academy. In addition to his role with the Academy, Capotosto also serves as head coach and manager of soccer operations at the University of Toronto. Capotosto has been on three European professional club visits for best coaching practices (Ipswich Town Football Club (England - 2008)) (Plymouth Argyle Football Club (England - 2010)) (Atletico Madrid Football Club (Spain - 2015)).  As a player at the University of Toronto, Capotosto was named an OUA all-star defender, during the five seasons he spent with the Varsity Blues. He also earned First Team All-Canadian honours and OUA East MVP honours in 2000 and 2001. He captained the Blues to the OUA title during his final season.  Capotosto holds a Canadian National ‘B’ coaching licence and United States Soccer Federation National ‘B’ and ‘Y’ licences. He recently completed and now holds the Elite French coaching licence through the French Football Federation and Major League Soccer.

Jonathon Mondino  will lead the training session for the kids 10-13 age group on McHugh # 1. (U13 TORONTO FC ACADEMY HEAD COACH AND POD 3 TECHNICAL ADMINISTRATOR)

Jonathon Mondino enters his first season as U-13 team head coach with the Toronto FC Academy. He is currently in his third season with the Toronto FC Academy.  Prior to joining Toronto FC, Mondino was one of the youngest professional club technical directors in Ontario, when he guided youth players and programs under the semi-professional CSL (Canadian Soccer League) franchise SC Toronto. He was also the first assistant coach with the University of Toronto men’s Varsity Blues soccer team. During his time with the Varsity Blues, he helped take the program to the Ontario Final Fours and the Canadian National Championships in Victoria, BC.  As a player, Mondino played OUA (Ontario University Athletics) for the Trent Excalibur of Trent University. He captained the team during his junior and senior year, winning the Coaches Award in his senior year. He also graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree.  Mondino holds a USSF (United States Soccer Federation) coaching license.
